Inception, The Last Airbender

Listen to this weeks show by using the player in the upper left had corner of the screen.

We are splitting the show. The new show will debut in the begining of April. Everyone's a Critic will still exist, but only be movies. The new show will be liberal, skeptical and atheist, and it is called Cognitive Dissonance

 This week's show:

We have switched blogs, please bookmark the new one.

We start out by talking about this post on Pharyngula and this idiot who plays for the WNBA. We also talk about a couple that is refused the chance to be foster parents, a Christian activist that is caught with his pants down, a quack-diddler and a judge that rules in favor of a statuary rapist.

We review Inception (which we liked giving it a 4.5 and 4.75) and The Last Airbender (which we hated giving it a 0 and a.01).

Next time we review Machette and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Vote for 2:

  1. Buried
  2. The Sorcerer's Apprentice
  3. The King's Speech
  4. Salt
  5. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

My family and I loved the Airbender cartoon, but not the movie. Machete was very entertaining. Laughed all the way through. The Seagal part in a riot!

Was hesitant about Inception, but will give it a shot since you guys scored it so high.

Hey all, been away for a while. . . well, I loved "Inception" as much as you did (though only as long as "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" took to come out. . .), though I tired after a while of most people trying to puzzle through the ending. It must have left out something! some said; others were convinced a Da Vinci Code type of, um, code, was hidden throughout the movie, and the TRUE ending was detailed there. . . *sigh* It appears "The Lady or the Tiger" is no longer required reading in school these days. Ambiguous endings, anyone?

But I digress; I want to vote for "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and "The King's Speech" as the movies for next podcast.

Let's go with Scott Pilgrim and Kings Speech. I can't in good conscience subject anyone to the quivering pile of rat vomit that was the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Not even you guys.

British Andy here (despite the blogger name)
In the UK, the term "Bender" is slang for a homosexual, so lines like "You are the last of the benders" was met by much sniggering in cinemas.

My vote is for the eyeball burning Scott Pilgrim, and the King's Speech.

King's Speech and Scott Pilgrim

I don't think Pearl Harbor is what angers God about Japan. I'm pretty sure it's the tentacle rape hentai.

I'll vote for The King's Speech and Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World. Both are great films.

Nathan, anyone who can reference cringe-worthy, mouth-breather otaku staples like that is a friend of mine. You're absolutely right: but I still say it's Cthulhu who's angered with all the unlicensed tentacle porn out there.
