We review Inception (which we liked giving it a 4.5 and 4.75) and The Last Airbender (which we hated giving it a 0 and a.01).

We review Sherlock Holmes, Tom thinks it was put together well but had not heart so he gives it a 2.5, Cecil likes it a bit better and gives it a 3.5. New Moon unsurprisingly gets a 0.0 from both Tom and Cecil. Next time we will be reviewing the Informant. We will be doing a tribute to Dennis Hopper, pick one of two films: Easy Rider or True Romance. We also would like submission for Karlo's suggestion:

While I can understand your reticence regarding ties and double-feature reviews, have you ever considered running a review (or two, or three. . .) that touches upon two movies that revisit a type of iconic character? To clarify what I mean, let me list a couple of examples:

1.) “Yojimbo” to “For a Fistful of Dollars” to “Unforgiven” — “The Man With No Name” as a protagonist

2.) “Dirty Harry” to “Gran Torino” — the tough-as-nails, ugly American

It might be interesting do something like this, in my opinion (and, yes: I *am* aware both of my examples include Clint Eastwood as an actor).

If there’s anyone else among the commenters who can offer another type of “arc” like this, feel free to chime in! I don’t know whether it’s feasible as a review structure, but we *could* draw connections between different movies via archetypes and icons of cinema.

So please submit to us an iconic character type that is in several films. We will post a list of five of these and then have you choose from the list.

We begin talking about the health care bill and what it was that actually passed. We found this and it summarizes it pretty well. We talk about Glenn Beck and how the Nazi's were all about social justice. We also talk about the Tea Party rallies getting a little out of hand. Some Christian Militants, the Muslim Response, the ten commandments and Obama going back on campaign promises.

Also here are some people nailing themselves to crosses.

We review Network and Adaptation. Cecil gives both 5.0 as he is indiscriminate with his ratings. Tom actually gives Network a 5.0 saying he cannot find fault with it, he gives Adaptation a 4.95.

We review the email. Next time we watch two more movies - Being There and Chinatown.

This week's episode:

We begin by talking about the creationist science class that uses the terribly scientific bible as a textbook, we also talk about Focus on the Family and how they want to stone a killer whale to death. Karl Rove is proud of torturing at Gitmo. We talk about three stories on sexual preference: The VA Attorney General who wants to discriminate against gays, gay marriage in Mexico City and a prom that is canceled because of a lesbian threat. We finish discussing Bank of America's confiscation of a house... and a parrot.

We review Moon and a bonus review of the Oscar sweeping Hurt Locker. Tom Gives Moon a 4.85 and Cecil gives it a 4.0. Tom gives the Hurt locker a 3.5 and Cecil gives it a 3.0. Both feel that Moon totally got snubbed.

We go over some e-mails and we will be watching Adaptation and Network next time.
